Planet Perfecta
by Michelle Wells

My children teach me things every day. Their minds are wide open to the possibility of life. They have fantastic imaginations. One afternoon, my oldest daughter taught me about my perceptions of life and using the Law of Attraction in a fun way.
I was cleaning my youngest daughter’s room. Somewhere in the room was a bed. Ironed clothes lay in a jumbled heap on the floor. Barbies and Bratz overflowed from the clear storage bins designed to make it “easy” to clean up. I discovered the missing hair bands beautifully worn by the My Little Ponies decorated around the room on each piece of furniture. The closet oozed of outfits taken off the hanger, deemed inappropriate for the temperature of the day, and left discarded on the floor. Hidden treasures were under the small-scale zoo of stuffed animals on the bed. I was looking at an overwhelming task in my mind. I was feeling frustrated with a recollection of “Yes, Mommy. Everything is put away neatly,” uttered by the adorable face of an angel baby. When I look into the eyes of an angel baby, I melt. Turning my thought to myself, I was thinking about how I could have spent my time more wisely to put things away. Instead, I now would spend time re-ironing and re-organizing. I was a bit frustrated with myself.
Having let out some sort of cry for help, my oldest daughter approached to provide comfort. She came up to me and said, “Mommy, close your eyes.” So, I did. She said, “I am taking you to Planet Perfecta.” She proceeded to give me a descriptive narrative of all of my goals from my recently completed goal poster. “Ok, Mommy, you are driving in your new truck. Can you feel it? You are listening to your favorite song.” She began to sing, “What a beautiful smile! Can I stay for a while?” Then she continued, “We are all driving to Blizzard Beach at Disney World. We’re sitting in the back seat. I’m reading a book. Look, Mommy, we’re driving up to your favorite hotel! See the sign? Look at the pretty magnolia trees, Mommy! Now, you’re riding on the paddle boat down the river.” On and on she went, taking me through all of the scenarios on my goal poster. She covered everything from the family to the financial. In the “evening scene” of Planet Perfecta, I was even wearing my fancy jammies straight from the goal poster. There was a specific amount of money in the wallet. Of course I had plenty to spend on souvenirs for the girls. It was great. She was so descriptive. I could see, hear, and feel everything she was describing.
There are two things I learned from this activity. First, what a great idea! Where did she learn this? She must have a pretty fantastic mother! (Hee-hee!) What a great way to really focus on both the now AND the feeling necessary to bring goals to manifestation! There was a complete scenario taking place in my mind, complete with audio and enthusiasm! Second, I learned I have the opportunity to stop for a moment and reflect. I have the choice to see a task differently the next time something appears overwhelming. I am able to go to Planet Perfecta and change my perception of the task. If I can change my mind for a moment, that is often enough to change the whole scenario.
Where is your Planet Perfecta? It’s time to climb into your spaceship and lift off. Examine what is out there in the Grateful Universe! Enjoy the sights, the smells, the feelings that abound. There are plenty of hidden treasuresand they are not always buried under the stuffed animals.

BIG Success
By Tom Haworth
When we put our mind and attention on a goal and continue to focus on its accomplishment, it does happen. It doesn’t matter if the goal is one month out, six months out, or a year out. By consistent focus and attention, our goals can be met. I experienced this personally as I embarked on becoming a Massage Therapist.
I started on this journey to become a Massage Therapist a year ago. I was somewhat daunted by the eight month curriculum four nights a week, three hours each night. But my inspiration led me to sign up for the course and see it through. Upon graduation, I was elated to have my evenings back but also with the sense of accomplishment at having completed the first step in achieving the goal. The second step is to pass the State Massage Therapy Board Exam.
During school graduates would come back to tell stories, some good, and some not, about their experience in passing or not passing their exam. Some students would get worried and excited about passing the test. Early on I set an affirmation stating, “I am passing the State Massage Therapy Board Exam the first time I take the test.” I wrote this in my goal book. I looked at it every morning.
As the test date approached, I increased my studying, all the while, knowing “I am passing the Massage Therapy State Board Exam the first time I take the test”. I included visualizations. I saw myself taking the test, answering questions, feeling good. I saw myself finishing the exam and the word “passed” on the computer monitor. I felt the joy, the elation of having passed the exam the first time I took the test. I felt grateful in advance for accomplishing my goal. I made a business card that said, Tom Haworth, LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) and hung it in the bathroom mirror. I saw that every day. I affirmed, I visualized and I felt my goal being achieved. This manifestation process, gave me the strength and stamina over the course of the year to stay focused on my goal.
So there I sat, the night before my exam, all preparations complete, feeling confident in the knowledge that I had learned over the past year in class and in personal. I visualized one more time taking and passing the exam. I got a good night’s sleep. On the way to the exam I chanted, “Peace, I am. Peace in every moment. Peace in every moment. Peace, I am” to keep me centered, to keep me peaceful, to keep me focused on passing the exam. As I took the exam, again I remained focused, reading the questions thoroughly answering the questions completely, knowing with confidence, that I was passing this exam.
At the end of the exam, I hit finished, expecting to see the passed sign. A survey came up, a place to make comments about the test. I had no comments. I hit finished. Again came up another survey about the test taking facility. Was I satisfied? Yes! I hit the finished sign and the screen went blank. Now what? Well, I got up and walked to the test administrator and sat down. She saw me coming and was already was printing a piece of paper from the computer. She folded it in thirds handed it to me and told me I could collect my things and go home for the day. I thanked her and I collected my things, holding this piece of paper in my hands, wanting to look at it, but wanting to leave. I walked out to the hall, opened it up, and saw the six most beautiful letters that I know, “P-A-S-S-E-D.” My hands pumped into the air with exhilaration. YES! YES! I passed. The feelings were the same as when I visualized them. And just as I affirmed, I passed the first time!

Understanding Your Purpose
By Michelle Wells

Last week in our B.I.G. Groups meeting in our spiritual home, Unity of the Palm Beaches, we spoke about “Understanding Purpose.” We had some fantastic discussion about living our life’s purpose through gratitude.
Living from your purpose is being true to who you are. What is your purpose? Your purpose, simply put, is to know you are a Divine Light in the world and to live your Light. How do you live from your purpose? You can start by being is a state of gratitude right now. Feel that Light letting you know you are in your purpose by participating in activities where you feel bliss. You live in your strength and your power by being true to who you are, despite the well-intentioned wishes of others. We discussed references from the movie, Happy Feet. In the movie, Mumble, the penguin is just a little different from the other penguins. His heart song is actually a dance. He’s surrounded by opposition at times from his family, his friends, and others. Still, he is true to himself and lives from his purpose. His prosperity and strength of purpose come from living in the Light.
Live from your light! Dance! Sing! Be true to who you are and watch the magic unfold.

Linking
by Michelle Wells

It seems to be a human trait that we “link” things together. We group them and categorize them often whether we should or shouldn’t. When we were designing our web site, the pages of the site had to be categorized and linked together. Sometimes we do that with negative experiences in our life. Something slightly off track happens and we attach that teeny-tiny incident to anything similar that ever happened in the past. We can make it so big. We can take a little snowflake and before we know it, it’s a snowball ready to produce an avalanche. But what if we try that with the positive instead? Let’s link those things together until we have a snowball filled with crystals of light of love, caring, and an abundance of positive emotions.

That’s what gratitude does. Gratitude helps to link all of those positive experiences together. In saying, “Thank You God” we are anchoring the presence of the Divine in our lives. Then, our subconscious looks for ways to see more of the same. “Thank You God” is an expression of love for any blessing in our lives. If we get what we give, then surely sending gratitude will bring fantastic things to us!

One of the greatest moments in my life was preceded by an evening when I sat down with a pen and notebook and made a list of every thing in my life I was grateful for. From big things in my life like my children and my family all the way to the pen in my hand, the glass of water next to me, and the food in my refrigerator. Within days I found myself able to get out of my apartment and on the search for a new home with less expensive monthly expenses than what I had been paying. A few uncomfortable situations in my life also magically transformed to forgiveness, peace, and resolution.

Thank You God that all things are worked for good!

Setting New Year’s Goals?

Just have B-E-L-I-E-F!
By Tom Haworth and Michelle Wells

This year instead of making New Years Resolutions, let’s set goals instead. All you need for goal setting is B-E-L-I-E-F!

Begin with an open mind--that anything is possible. If you believe it, you can achieve it. Have you ever really known something to be true? Deep down in the core of your being, you felt and believed it to be true? That’s the belief we are talking about here. When you harness that belief, good things start to happen. Dream B.I.G.! If you want to be a millionaire, break your goal down into smaller believable goals. You can begin, perhaps, by making a plan to earn an additional $2,000.00 a month, or what ever you can believe.

Energize your goal setting with the power of your mind. See and visualize yourself achieving your goal. Energize your vision with the power of emotion. How does it feel to have achieved your goal? Bask in those feelings, enjoy them, and raising the energy vibration with your emotions as you enjoy them and are feeling good. Be Grateful in advance for your success and be a gratitude magnet attracting more good into your life.

Leverage your goals with the support of a group, often called a Master Mind Group. Select a group of supportive people who can hold the vision, who can see you as having achieved your goal. Meet weekly to support each other in gratitude and share in your success. We are blessed as we give and receive gratitude. On our website, www.mythankyougod.com, we offer a free online goal setting support group. You submit your name, email address, and your goal and join with others weekly to envision success in the achievement of our goals.

Intend to be successful. Make a plan and stick to it. Make a list of goals for each area of you life from physical, spiritual, relational, career financial, and personal. Allow yourself to dream big. The sky is the limit! Then, create action steps to move you closer to your goal each month. Use the power of intention to let the Universe know you are serious about your success.

Empower yourself with tools that will work for you to help you stay on target. Create a vision board or treasure map. Record an affirmation tape and utilize your Master Mind group.

Focus your mind on what you want, your goal, not what you don’t want. The mind is a powerful tool. Use it to your advantage. See the possibilities, not the limitation. Be open and creative in finding the way around the obstacles, all the while being focused on the goal. Look at your goals daily and feel your success. Most of all, be grateful for your success today and know that you will have it in 2008.
